Changing DL Grip vs. DL Height

Hi -

What similarities and/or differences would you expect in training outcomes from training the DL with a slight deficit vs. widening grip slightly (assuming horizontal foot placement relative to the bar is the same)?

Would you expect one to have more utility than the other?

I would not expect any differences outside of lift-specific performance adaptations and I’m not sure I can comment on “utility”, as that is rather subjective.
