I know we are supposed to avoid processed meats like deli ham & turkey and limit consumption of grilled red meat because of the nitrates/nitrites, but what about packaged sliced cheese or fat-free shredded mozzarella? I’m eating at least 40 g fiber every daywith grains, fruits and vegetables and saturated fat intake is kept to about 10% of calories.
I have no concerns about processed cheese intake at the level you describe here. Some of the highly processed cheeses tend to have a bunch of added sodium, which may be something to watch for depending on the individual and the rest of their diet.
