Chiropractor, voodoo?

Been seeing a chiropractor for a few weeks( against my judgmenet) I’ve never been a huge believer, but to satisfy my old lady and job foreman… I’ve had legitimate back problems in the past, few discs went out 6 years ago. I do Hard long hours of construction , while lifting and grappling. I’m not delusional, I’m getting old. 35 but growing up an athlete and wearing tool bags for 15 years, I’m slowing down a bit. I started getting acute pain in my actual spine. right at the transition of L&T.(which is in a completely different area than my past issues) Its not constant but, hot damn it can get sensitive. Since I’ve been seeing the Chiro. my entire posterior is on fire. muscle soreness and pain. Ive since but a holding pattern on that witch DR. Wanted to hear your thoughts on my situation and your opinion on Chiro in general. Mahalo

Sorry to hear about your back pain, in addition to the link Austin posted here is a Cochrane review that examined chronic low back pain effectiveness

You should also check out Austin’s pain lecture and other works on the site regarding pain if you aren’t familiar, good luck, let us know how you are doing

@Woolfypoo What’s been happening during your visits to the chiropractor?

I think it’s time for someone to listen to a couple of the BBM podcasts.I don’t Doc Jordan would agree that 35 is old.

Chiropractors or some call them spine doctor Denver are not voodoo but there are those who pretends to know what they are doing that affects the legitimacy of others. I know as i have tried and it help me so much in managing back pains.

I have visited some back doctor VA and chiropractors and they are really helpful in treating my back problems from going to the gym.
