Hello Drs,
A bit of background info
Age: 39
Weight: ~149-150lbs
Height: 166cm (5’5)
I’ve been training (resistance + cardio) for the past 3.5 years. The first 3 years being 3x/week barbell resistance training doing your templates (beginner, powerbuilding, strength I and powerlifting II) as well as ~60 min cardio/week.
The last 4 months or so I have slacked off significantly (due to work) where I only train 2x/week (weekends) and do 15-20 min cardio/week. My diet has also been trash (lots of sugary snacks like oreos and food like instant noodles) and I’ve gained ~2kg in this period.
That said, I recently had my first ever electrocardiogram (ECG) and the finding was sinus bradycardia. The recommendation was that I pursue further evaluation with a cardiac specialist for the aforementioned finding. Is this due to my training history or is this something that I should be worried about?
TIA!
