Hi there - I am wondering how important is consistent exercise choice between weeks. For example, let’s say that for the first 5 weeks I have on the same spot the option “Close grip incline bench OR close grip bench”. Is it okay to do switch back and forth which exercise I do? I ask because I go to a commercial gym and wait times are always a factor… thanks!
If you want to switch exercises weekly, that can be done, though I’d be wary of increasing the volume or average intensity week to week when doing that. Also, some of the specific strength adaptations may be compromised- or improved- depending on how one responds to this strategy.
