34 y/o male 5’11" 191lbs ~21% BF been eating on average 2700cals/day ~190g protein
I’ve been doing the Greyskull LP for just over 3 months now. Run into significant issues with my squat (elbow tendinitis, switched to high bar - hip impingement) so numbers are still very low as haven’t squatted with weight in a month. Also the variant of GSLP I run only deadlift 1x per week. My issue is that i’m pretty fluffy around the middle and still relatively weak. Presses have made progress, but I’ve already had to reset them once and so I’m worried about both my programming and my BF%.
I’ve still got a lot of room in theory for LP on my squat and deadlift. Should have a bit of room on the presses too. But I don’t like how fat I am. Should I cut for 8-10 weeks and bring myself back down to ~15%bf and just try and maintain what little strength I’ve gained and then continue an LP? I’m a bit lost.
I am in roughly the same position. 34 y/o male, 190lbs, ~19.5% BF, eating about 3200 cals, 210 protein, 380 carb, and 100 fat for the past 2.5 months while doing LP. I started to stall a little bit and decided to change to The Bridge. Below are my current lifts (at 3x5):
At this point, I am growing out of my clothes and don’t want to have to replace my wardrobe. Not the best reason, but it is what it is. At this point, i plan to start cutting the beginning of May for 3-4 months, or until I get down to 170-175 and my clothes fit better.
Reasonable approach?
