Good idea to milk some extra weight on the bar or bad idea?
I wouldn’t recommend using a deadlift bar at all unless you’re signed up for a competition in a federation that uses one.
Let’s say you did, and you “milked” a few extra pounds on LP, as people like to do.
What do you do when you switch to intermediate programming?
Well if its RPE probably just switch back to a regular bar and not worry about it. I guess don’t use one then. No worries, I just felt like the ease of a deadlift bar might make the last threeish weeks less taxing, with finals coming up and the end of LP at the same time my tail is tired all the time.
Heavy deadlifts are heavy and hard no matter what. We just get to do them.
Think I have been misunderstood, I will continue to use a stiff bar though.
