A PT friend recently got a certificate in dry needling. Seems hocus pocus to me. Have any of you seen anything other than a placebo effect? I’m sure I’ll be seeing plenty of posts about how wonderful it is soon. I’ll try not to argue with them. Haha

As a physical therapist that’s taken a dry needling course, the evidence and science agrees with Austin Baraki (he may place it in the “Silly Bullshit” category :). Those with financial and intellectual incentives will attempt to justify its use through numerous mechanisms and tooth fairy science. Take a look at a few of these:
