Silly BS...caveat emptor

A nice reminder to save your money on non-sense…

Add this one to the list: if you’re paying for silly BS, and think it’s helping…

Placebo tape?
Cupping?

Pretty sure you’re preaching the choir on that front. Unless there’s some Hollywood A listers lurking.

Thanks Dave_E for the feedback.

I’d like to think I’m preaching to the choir here, but you’re right, there are always lurkers that may find these articles useful to pass on to a colleague, friend or patient.

They themselves may be currently using, have used or are thinking about some of these interventions. While you seem to understand this information, not everyone does. These articles are for those folks. The un-informed and mis-informed.

As a PT I find it important to remain level. So here is an article telling the profession and public to practice caution with claims and marketing…a good read for students and the public…

The reference list is a goldmine of information…not if you’re billing for your services…

One of the funnier videos I’ve seen…

Hey Matthew,

thanks for all the info, keep posting

edit: just watched this:

That is fucking hilarious, brilliant. That Video just made my day

Some great reads to pass on to others.

Keep the content coming brotha!

I can thank Jason for introducing me to what he called the “red pill” prior to attending PT school. He challenged my on old NSCA forums, helped me with presentations and shaped how I think in practice. Nick also brings a refreshing critical appraisal of the fitness and S&C communities.
Do yourself a favor and read what they writes…you won’t regret it.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve had this conversation with folks.

You read that correctly…sham kinesiotape better than “real” kinesiotape…except its all really just a sham…but you get what I’m talking about. Just go into your tool box and grab the duct tape

A two part installment:

(note: you could put dry needling, skin scraping ((ASTYM/Graston/Gua Sha/etc)) and manual therapy in this article)

That was a good read, thanks for sharing.

A difficult message for many to accept

The next time someone pulls out a butter knife to help your ache or pain…add it to the list…

I’ll help save you time:

“The current evidence does not support the use of IASTM to improve pain, function or range of motion in healthy individuals or those with varied pathologies.”
