Dysautonomia and orthostatic hypotension

Hey Docs, I am the poster who asked the question about my recent dysautonomia diagnosis on the April AMA. To give more detail I am 38 years old and my normal conditioning modality of choice is Peloton spin classes. My dizziness isn’t usually an issue while performing the workout but mainly afterwards. My cardiologist came to the dysautonomia/ orthostatic hypotension diagnosis after I passed out fairly quickly on a tilt table test. What kind of doctor would you recommend I seek out for more testing on this problem. I have checked for autonomic specialist in my area (Central Alabama) and did not find any near by.

Hi there!

Yes, the further evaluation of these types of cases often involves neurologists, ideally a neurologist with specialization/expertise in autonomic dysfunction.
