Elbow Pain Squatting

I am currently running the Beginner Template, but also ran SSLP about a year ago.

When squatting with any eight 135+ on the bar, I start to develop pain on the inside of my elbows. I believe I may be lifting them when coming out of the bottom? Anyways, if i wear wrist wraps there is no pain.

Just wondering if there are any ideas as to what is causing the pain and why the wrist wraps help?

It may have to do with how much of the load you’re carrying on your forearms, versus keeping the load carried as much as possible on your back. We see this quite commonly and it’s been discussed on the forums quite a bit as well. Aim to keep the load on your back and not “in your arms” and this should resolve.
