I have reached a point where i’m happy with my muscle gains for the most part, especially in my legs. I am interested in moving on from my hypertrophy routine to a strength template where I haven’t done a regular deadlift for many months… I genuinely dislike barbell squats for various reasons and I don’t care about my numbers at all. but I do like the idea of building my strength for 1 rep in the bench press and deadlift. Do you think it would be ok to for example follow strength 1 and simply replace each squat exercise slot with a couple sets of quad work (e.g. belt squat for muscle size maintenance) and just follow the deadlift and pressing work +GPP as prescribed? Seems like a good idea to me but was curious if you guys think it’s silly for whatever reason. Thanks.
