Form Check: Deadlift

Hi All,

My deadlift is improving, but I feel as though it takes me too long to complete a set of five, as the time between reps is always 1-2 seconds. This despite my trying to get into position and start the next rep as quickly as possible.

What have others done to improve the quickness of their deadlift sets? Is it just doing more deadlifts?

Is there Anything in my form that seems problematic or could be contributing to the length of the set? Thanks a bunch in advance. I find the feedback from this board invaluable.

I don’t think this is an unreasonable amount of time for a set of five (30 seconds from the start of your first pull). Here’s a video Alan did on this exact subject!

The resets look good. Your grip seems a tad wide. Bring them in 2 inches on each side. It looks strong. It looks like you may be lowering your hips alittle. Just bend over, grab the bar and take the slack out by lifting the chest up only.
