Deadlift form check, trouble with initial rep!

I’m in a post novice program and my deadlift has been going well, or at least I think. I’m currently in a volume block. My last workout was 4X5@285 pounds. Two main problems I have on every set: I spend far too long bent over getting set up, and that first rep is so damn hard to get moving that on my last sets I often miss getting the bar moving at all.

Would it be worth it for each set to do them as a cluster of singles, reset between each rep!
