Hinge Pattern Movements with Low Weight?

I (38) have been lifting pretty steady for about five years and my wife (36), is now really eager to get into some weight training. I’m super excited to help her out. She is in really good health (5’10”, 140 pounds, eats very well, gets over 10,000 steps a day, and she has graves which is managed with medication), other than the fact she doesn’t currently exercise.

The problem is I lift during my lunch hour at work. The nearest gym is 40 minutes away and she is a stay at home mom with a part time remote job. It just isn’t possible with our home to invest in a really serious home gym as there is literally nowhere a rack would fit (ceiling are all seven feet tall). What I do have is a rower, jump ropes, a pull-up bar, and kettlebells going up to 32 kg.

I’m planning on having her dona full body split with kettlebells focusing on a squat, hinge, pull, and push pattern.

I’m having a hard time coming up with a good hinge pattern exercise with only 32 kg. All I can think of is kettlebell hip thrust, a kettlebell swing, or a clean? I don’t see an RDL being challenging at all with that weight.

Any suggestions?

Single leg hip thrusts, good mornings (weight goblet position or on shoulders), and single-leg RDL/SLDL all seem like decent options. I suspect having access to a barbell, perhaps a training or 15kg olympic bar, may be useful for loading.

This is great, thank you.
