See title. I don’t really understand how to use the RPE stuff in the bridge. I feel like I could get close but I feel like something is off.
My instinct is to start by using the rpe to % chart to get my starting weights IE use use 81% for 4@7, then do it as sets across since the fatigue from the first set will increase the RPE on subsequent sets. Then I update my e1rm based on my RPE and weight for that week and use that for my first set weights next week. and for variations where i don’t have a 1rm/e1rm, I’ll just have to spend a few weeks before starting the bridge practicing and testing the variations in order to get a starting point.
is this a reasonable approximation of the RPE system used in “the bridge”? what am i missing?
