Importance of muscle 'feel'

Not sure how to word this, but how important is the feel of a muscle during training. During basically every bench variation I’ve ever tried my arms feel significantly more fatigued than my chest ever does. Does this mean I’m doing something wrong, or does it not matter at all? And do you believe that thinking (like a mind muscle connection thing) makes any difference?

It doesn’t really matter at all, particularly if you’re relatively new to training.
