Injury in Vaginal Region

Without getting into too much detail. I have a friend who sustained trauma in her vaginal region similar to having a baby. Her opening had to be sutured. There was arterial bleeding. Her episiotomy was also torn so it was sewed or sutured up. A gynecologist specialist had to do the procedure because the cut was deep deep for the 1 md at the to fix.

Interestingly, now she’s really bummed that she can’t lift for several weeks. She finally got herself on a good streak. She did tell me she’s super sore and does feel like she had a baby. But feels she can start lifting in about a week. But she is worried she could do more damage or tear some of the sutures I said I’d run it past you guys.

How would you guys advise someone in this situation? When can she squat/deadlift again? Is it when she no longer feels pain? or for really a set number of weeks?

In instances such as this I always defer to a women’s health specialist. She can look for a provider on the site below but I would recommend finding one with a background in lifting.

Thanks for the info. I will forward it. yes, one of the reasons I posted here was because of everyones background in lifting, medicine and injury recovery.

Thanks. I’ll forward your message. Yes, I figured that you guys have the lifting, medical and injury recovery knowledge.
