Knee got knocked, now squats are uncomfortable; what do?

A truck door slammed shut on my knee (knee was trapped between the body of the vehicle and said door).

Since this incident I’ve had some discomfort in the knee during my heavier squats and the day after. I wouldn’t call it “pain” but it definitely isn’t comfortable.

I can handle the discomfort, but I want to make sure I’m not doing more damage.

Should I press on? Drop the weight for a while?

Background: I’ve already run the Beginner’s Prescription and The Bridge but then didn’t lift consistently for 3-4 months due to traveling for work. I’m currently running the Beginner’s Prescription again before diving into the Body Building Block 1.
