I’m starting to experience knee pain during Beginner Template, and wanted to ask your thoughts on how to proceed…
About a year ago, I did Starting Strength’s Novice Linear Progression (SSNLP) and my knees were REALLY sore by the end of it. Put aside my heel-lifted weight lifting shoes, which helped some, and saw a Sports Medicine MD, who told me to do really light weights and limited range of motion.
That sounds like a less-than-optimal approach, given what I’ve heard on the Pain and Rehab podcasts, and my need to build and maintain muscle mass (I’m 63 years old).
I’m only on week 2 of the BT. Should I continue on and see what happens (watchful waiting), or are there some adjustments I should make immediately?
