I have a standard 2 car garage and because of where the doors are (and all the stuff in the garage) my squat rack is sloped down from the right to the left (e.g., when I squat, deadlift, etc. my left side is slightly lower than my right side). Does this matter? When is the slope too much (e.g., how much of a difference in height is acceptable)? Trying to figure out if I need to build a lifting platform.
Never thought about it. From a common sense point of view, it seems better to do both sides at the same level so that there is no skew to either side, especially if you practice regularly. Your body is getting used to the tilt, and it is not known how this may affect you in the future.
I can see your point definitely if we are talking inches, but for me the slope is about 1/2 an inch over 4 feet so something like 1/4 to 3/8 in actuality from one leg to the other. There has to be a point where it doesn’t matter anymore. Just don’t know where that point is.0
