Maintaining strength on the road

I’ll be traveling for 6 weeks. The last two of those I won’t be able to train. For the other four, I’m looking to maintain my strength to the point, where I can continue with a small deload and don’t have to “start over”. I see two options:

  1. Find a gym and run the “time crunch” template.
  2. Do the “at home” template.

I strongly prefer option 2 to avoid finding a gym and spending too much time there while being in a beautiful place. That said, after starting over three times in the past years because of lockdowns, I really don’t want to do that again. I don’t have specific strength goals, but motivating myself to start over the third time was really hard and right now I’m very motivated to stay in the game and I don’t want to wreck my momentum completely (I’m currently approaching all my PRs with 20kg less bodyweight from my peak and my cut is coming to an end).

So my question: Will the “at home template” be sufficient to maintain my strength in PB/Hypertrophy template performance, if I follow it diligently? Or will spending the hour in the gym everyday give me significantly better results?

As always, thank you for so generously sharing your knowledge!

I think either would be fine for the time being, but I much prefer training with equipment if possible (time crunch) over doing stuff at home. It’ll probably be enough to maintain most of your strength either way.
