Medium ISF after Strength III

Finished up strength 3 just before this 6 week BB III run. I added 5 lbs to squat/bench, DL was the same, and I didn’t feel run down, so I was planning on adding a couple sets to strength 3 for each main movement, but decided I’d pick up the low fatigue template–due to its elastic sounding nature.

I read the ebook, the adjustment advice in particular a couple of times, and I think understand the if/then/else algorithm to modify training as I progress.

I grabbed the medium ISF guy to start. Looking at the first block it looks like the volume and the intensity are lower than the developmental block in strength III (which I THINK isn’t enough for me, but I could be wrong).

To further complicate the situation since I just completed 6 weeks of BB exercises, it usually seems to take me a 2-4 weeks to get approximately back to where I was strength wise.

I could either:

  1. More aggressively add reps (say 5ish more weeks 3 and 5 on main movements if fatigue still seems low)
  2. Follow the program exactly as described and wait until block 2 or 3 to make adjustments
  3. Run all 3 blocks without adjustment and see how things go before making any adjustments

I’m pretty tempted to do 1, maybe 2 here.

Thanks for any guidance!

Smokes,

I would not add volume, intensity, or anything else to the first block of the program. Rather, I would do it how it’s laid out, see how it works, and then adjust from there.

Let us know how it goes!

Ok, will do.

Quick follow up–if I finish block 1 and lifts haven’t increased in the last couple of weeks, should I stay in block 1 with increased volume/intensity/change in exercise selection (per the ebook) or continue to block 2?
