Microdosing strength training for In-season high school athletes

Dr.'s Baraki and Feigenbaum do you believe or what is your position regarding microdosing training for in-season high school athletes? Does this type of programming provide enough stress to cause any beneficial strength or resiliency adaptations? By microdosing I mean training two days per week either right before or right after the sport practice for approximately 20 min per session. As an example Power Clean 3x3, Front Squat 6 reps x3 sets, bent over row 6x3 and DB Curl to Press 6x3 and the session is done, there are no warm up sets, no percentages and no RPE.

I don’t think microdosing is the best way to train for in-season HS athletes given their resources for training. I also don’t think you could do 3x3 power cleans, 6 x 3 front squats, 6x3 rows, and DB curl to press for 6 x 3 in 20 minutes unless it’s a circuit.

I also don’t think that eliminating warm up sets or guidance on loading are good ideas, in general.

That said, it’s better than nothing for sure- minus the lack of guidance on loading and subsequent fatigue management.
