Strength Training for Endurance Training Athletes

I just finished reading this; extremely beneficial. I’m really looking forward to the next installment. I will soon be working with cross country runners for the first time in my career. I just shared this article with the cross country coach in hopes that he reads it and we can start speaking the same language. I think a lot of cross country coaches have a very vague understanding of the role of strength training. They don’t want their runners to get big and bulky, as the article suggests, so they resort prescribing very light sets of 10 reps for tricep kickbacks, curls, and other upper body lifts.

Will the future articles attempt to define the correct dosage of intensity and volume for these athletes? I hope so!
