Hey everyone! Just curious if anyone else had this issue during their fitness journey. I am 25 year old male, 6 foot 4 inches. I started lifting at 175lbs body weight and got up to 215lbs bodyweight after about 6 months of SSLP.
I have noticed that my lower abdomen and hips hold the majority of my fat now and the rest of my body look pretty lean.
Squat 330lbs x 3
Press 139lbs x 5
Deadlift 365lbs x 5
Bench 217lbs x 5
My lifts are fairly decent and I am really kinda stuck on what to do. I am starting to bridge to keep my strength gains going, however I am stuck between cutting slightly and maintaining my weight. I really hate sitting down without a shirt because my lower stomach rolls over my waistband now.
Anyone else encounter this issue and possibly have any words of advice?
I have had similar experience, 6’ 2" - 215#. Not really advice, but I’m going to run the GPP Hypertrophy template alternated with the bridge. I’ll cut on the former and maintain\gain on the latter.
What’s your waist measurement ? How much does the extra fat bother you ?
I hold all my fat in the same places and I’m personally comfortable at waist under 37 1/2 . If your happy with where you are I would maintain see what happens . You cab always cut after the bridge if that does reduce your waist .
It is called genetics. Genetics dictate where your body holds its fat stores. The only thing you can do is lean up, which will of course affect your whole body and again genetics will dicate which parts of your body will lose it faster/more than other parts.
