Milk

Doc

I am 40y/o M, 5’10 235 and my waist is 42.5

So to state the obvi, I need to tone down the eating. However, everytime I input a days worth of food on MyFitnessPal I never can seem to get 200g protein while staying under 3200 cal unless I am taking a small protein shake after each 3 meals (8oz milk w/1 scoop whey).

My question is: Is this amount of milk on a daily basis going to be too much fat for my demographic? Should I just take the whey with water even though its disgusting? And if I am training hard 3 days per week and doing 2 days of cardio, does that cancel out the cons of too much milk?

Thanks,
Cole

Cole,

Thanks for the post. There’s nothing wrong with milk, but if you’re using whole milk the Calorie intake may be a bit too high for your goals. Drinking a lot of liquid Calories may also not be the best idea for keeping hunger at bay while trying to lose weight. If there’s no way to otherwise consume more dietary protein via lean sources e.g. chicken breast, fish, lean beef, low fat/no fat dairy, etc. then you could replace the milk with fat free fairlife to cut down on the cals.

I would like to get you doing more conditioning to get to ~ 150 min/wk , if possible
