Minimal equipment - want to get back into training and seeking some advice

Hi fellas.

I want to start resistance training after a significant 5 year lay off due to pain (pretty much everywhere) and ditched all resistance training to ‘avoid further damage’.

I have dumbbells that go up to 22lbs per dumbbell and kettlebells that go up to 17.6lbs per bell. I have resistance bands, TRX straps and occasionally access to a pull up bar. The gym is not an option for me for at least a year due to work circumstances.

Can I forge out a good resistance training regime with my body weight and the aforementioned equipment? My goal is just to be resilient and enjoy training. Any recommendations for exercise selection and programming?

cheers.

HIW,

I think this is likely perfect for you: How-to Exercise at Home | Barbell Medicine

The at-home template comes with a bunch of options depending on available equipment. I think that would be a great set-up.

That looks ideal for what I’m looking for - cheers.

One quick Q on the programming - for the first 8 weeks it looks as though GPP takes the form of LISS and HITT 2/3 x per week and then after week 8, upper back, Torso and arm training forms part of the GPP as well. Is this correct?

Appreciated.

Yes, exactly.
