More Bridge 3.0 Questions

Hello,

As I’m going through the program some questions come up. Could you please comment on the following scenarios:

  1. Lets say the day looks like:

• 1 rep @ RPE 8 (90-93%)
• 4 reps @ RPE 8 (84%)
• 75% e1RM x 4 reps x 2 sets

If I"m warming up and hit 1 rep at 7 RPE by accident, do I record it for the day because it’s over RPE 7?
If I go for 1 rep at RPE 8 but it turns out to feel like RPE7, do I go for an extra rep to get 2 reps at RPE 8 or take a break and do another set with extra weight to try to get 1 set at RPE 8? If it’ the latter, do I record both the RPE 7 and RPE 8 sets into the spreadsheet?
For the 75% sets, do I record these? They feel like a 5.5 or 6 RPE.

  1. On week two I’m getting negative figures for the fatigue calculation. I don’t know if it’s a known bug or my excel is just acting strange.

  2. Some days’ reps look like:

*5 reps @ RPE 7
•5 reps @ RPE 8
•5 reps @ RPE 9.
• -5% from 5 @ 9 x 1 set of 5

What does the * signify for the first set?

Thanks.

Hello!

  1. I would not log a warm up at 7 unless that is in the program. And hitting a warm up @7 when you are trying to get to @8 is just fine.

If you hit a 7 and find you can do more, then yes, you add weight and hit a true 8. The goal is a single @8 and the percentages and calculator are a GUIDE, not a rule.

You do certainly record the 75% work as that is prescribed volume and even though it feels “easy” you log it and track it.

  1. Not sure about this one. Is this only happening in one location on the spreadsheet?

  2. That asterisk looks to be a typo. That should just be a bullet like the rest of the lines.

I’ve gotten negative fatigue values if I didn’t record the total number of prescribed sets.

The negative fatigue thing is a bit strange.

For week 2, day 1, exercise 1:
If I enter 215, 1 rep, 8 rpe and then 195, 4 reps, 8 rpe then I get a -40% for fatigue.
If I enter 255 for the first set and 230 for the second then I get 60% for fatigue.

The same thing happens for week 3 day 1.
