Is it true MSG is bad for you? I’ve been eating at the restaurant I work at, currently trying to put on weight . I eat steamed chicken and shrimp with veggies every day for dinner since it’s a free high protein meal. The sauce it comes with is very high in sodium and uses MSG, but makes it more palatable when I’m trying to bulk. Any evidence for MSG being bad?
It can increase energy intake compared to non-MSG containing foods, which may not be great at a population level.
