My Zio Heart Monitor and sweating

I don’t know what kind of serious answer to a stupid question but the medical cardio people weren’t very clear on the answers. And I’m hoping you have some experience with this device… This is really stupid:

I’m wearing a Zio Heart monitor for 14 days. I was advised not to sweat… I said, “I workout 6 days a week.” they advised me to stick to brisk walks, slow rowing or stationary bike (over running) and light weights short workouts… When I asked what light weights means they said as long as I don’t sweat much.

This all seems a little ridiculous. Tricks/ tips any helpful suggestions. They gave me medical tape, should I just tape before I workout? should I really avoid my runs for 2 weeks?

Also it was implied, I should mark every time I work out (since heart rate will go up). Does this sound right.

To the extent your sweating interferes with the monitor adhering to your chest wall, this can be an issue. I would suggest finding ways to train (in terms of activity, environment, etc.) that don’t lead to profuse sweating during this time.

Yes, you should track when you work out, since there is a difference between “appropriate” heart rate increases from exercise, vs. “inappropriate” heart rate increases from an arrhythmia.
