Hello,
First off, I am very grateful for your content. It has helped me deal with a couple of pulled muscles and back tweaks and inspired me to accquire a few healthier habits.
Last tuesday, I was doing overhead presses. When I got ready to do my first rep for my last set @9, I felt a sharp pain and a popping sensation in the anterior aspect of my right elbow. The pain only lasted a few minutes or so. I carefully worked my way up to a set @6 without any pain. Later i assumed that i might had possibly snagged a nerve so i decided to rest the arm.
About a day later, i started noticing pain at the same area when i use the arm, alongside a sensation of “something moving” inside at the elbow area. The pain itself is not severe, rather mild to moderate, but the “moving sensation” is scaring me alot. This does not feel like a strained muscle or a back tweak and that is worrying me.
The pain is reliably produced when i supinate and flex the forearm against resistance. I do not feel any pain when the arm is at rest. The elbow itself is not bruised or swollen. The bicep looks the same as on the other arm. I do not notice any pain when i palpate the elbow. For the last 2 days my right bicep started to feel … weird? tight? fatigued?. I have full mobility and i do not notice any strength loss, although ive not made any attempts to test that.
after reading the internet im worried this might be a partially ruptured bicep tendon. I am freaking out a little bit since the internetz says a tendon rupture needs immediate surgical repair, the sooner the better.
Question: Should i be seeking immediate medical attention or am i catastrophizing?
English is not my first language and im writing this at the end of a night shift, so sorry in advance if things are unclear.
