Patellar Tendinopathy

Hello. I am currently doing Jordan’s general intermediate program (General Strength Training Template for the Intermediate/Advanced) and while doing the Wednesday Pause Squats I shifted forward coming out of the hole on my final set and since then I have experienced pain in my left patellar tendon. I visited a physio today and got told I had Tendinopathy, and that I should squat with forward feet, never letting my toes go past my knees, stop squatting 3x a week and isolate my VMO which all seem like red flags. Should I stick with the exercises I was given (bridges, vmo isolations) or is there a better way?

All of their advice is garbage.
