Hey team,
I’m currently dealing with a small pec strain (near the armpit) that did NOT happen while training. I reduced load slightly on bench and can perform the lift pain free.
However, I still get a sharp pain in the area when unracking and re racking the weight no matter what load. I work out alone at home so a spotter handoff isn’t an option. My thoughts are…
pin press with the pins set basically at chest level and then starting the movement from the pins to avoid having to unrack.
And/or
dumbbell bench for a bit just to let that pain die down a little.
Does this sound like an OK approach. Any other advice?
