Hey BBM team,
Over the past 8 months I’ve learned to adopt a healthy dietary pattern made of whole foods, 10-12+ servings of fruits & vegetables, lots of fiber, few processed foods, etc.
I am aware that eating fewer processed foods is also an important part of a healthy dietary pattern and I therefore have a quick question regarding plain greek yogurt, or plain yogurt in general, which If I’m not mistaken (and I am not sure here), is part of the processed foods group as per the NOVA classification system.
It turns out I consume about 500g of greek yogurt a day (Fage is the brand), be it 0% or 5% fat, half in the morning and half in the afternoon, mixed with oats, blueberries, bananas and cinnamon.
Is consuming 500-600g of greek yogurt a day possibly harmful in the context of an otherwise health dietary pattern?
Also just wanted to thank you all so much for helping me learn about healthy dietary patterns. I’ve read/listened to just about all of your content on this and asked a few questions here and there :). It’s been a great journey for me and I can say that I feel so much better now. On a side note I’ve discovered a love for fruit, which was something I had serious trouble eating before (mental block for some reason).
Cheers!
Matteo
