Finishing up a powerlifting specific training block/cycle and will be starting PB next Monday but had a few questions before I get started.
I notice there are exercise choices of Split Squats AND Bulgarian Split Squats… are these meant to be the same exercise or are they meant to be different?
For GPP work… could I combine 7minutes abs/7 minutes upper back into a single 7 minute GPP session where I am alternating between the two?
For pause squatting… do you typically recommend doing this without a belt? I don’t see “with belt” specified here.
The split squat denotes the rear foot on the floor and the Bulgarian variation is the rear foot elevated.
You CAN but I would not do this as that will cut down on the overall work you’re going to get done for both option. The rest between sets in the 7 min AMRAP is intended to be fairly short.
Yes, we do suggest all of the movements that don’t have the with belt notation be done beltless.
My only other question is regarding the tracking of session time and session RPE:
Session Duration – In the logging section for the 3rd exercise for each
day you’ll see an area to record the “Session Time.” We recommend
recording the total time spent training in minutes – including rest
periods- in this space. This is one of the values used to determine AU
(acute stress).
Should I be including GPP and/or cardiovascular work in session time and session RPE?
