Powerbuilding II Template question

Hi,I’m currently running Powerbuilding II template. And recently I saw one of your QA video from Youtube, saying that if training with intelligent program. It would only be sore at the beginning not routinely.
After running this template for 19 weeks.Everything is going well.Keep making progress.
(DL:95kg to130kg Squat:70kg to 98kg Bench press:44kg to 71kg @BW57kg to 60kg)
Except for my lower back always get sore after my DL day especially when the next day I do DL variation. Even I’ve almost completed this template twice.
And I feel like that my lower back become the limit factor of my DL.
Is there something I can do to improve it?
And is there any recommend template for someone who trying to gain weight like me but still love to train around the big 3?

Do you have a video of your top set on deadlifts?

this is my DL for 1 rep@RPE 8

May I ask what makes you think your lower back is going to be the limiting factor for your deadlift? In general, I don’t think people will get really sore from training when adapted to it, e.g. lots of discomfort, stiffness, reduced ROM, performance decrease, etc. that lasts for multiple days.

I think it’s pretty normal that people experience some discomfort here and there and so, I’m not sure if we need to do anything specific. I may recommend trying our Beginner Template from phase II, however, as I think it’s likely to build a better base than PB I, which would fall after that or other similarly inclusive beginner program.

Thanks for your advice ,Dr.
I understand that soreness is not a good index.
Just every time I try to add more weight,I cannot maintain my lower back position, and that makes me think my lower back is weak.

It looks like it’s just a strategy for you to lift the weight given your current leverages. If you’d like to reduce the weight and work on developing a different strategy, I’d be okay with that…though it’s not necessary.
