How should one progress under the below scenarios on the novice LP? Do we still add weight for the next workout?
Squat
405x5x3 @ 8, 8, 9.5
Bench press
225x5x3 @ 8, 8.5, 9.5 , 205x5x2 @ 8, 8 (Backoff)
Also, I have been adding weight to my singles every workout, but the RPE for my Bench and OHP singles has been slowly creeping up to 9, and even 9.5 as of late. Do I keep up with the progression on my singles?
Would you recommend a novice trainee perform a deload for the squat and pull the way it is suggested in SS, or would you rather them just switch to the bridge?
Okay. Also, Jordan said in the Plug-in post’s comments section that he no longer endorses a Light Squat day. What should I do in place of that then? Paused Squats?
