Hello!
I am a novice lifter on beginner template, phase 2, week 8.6 (great program btw). Male, 29 years old.
At the beginning of 2020, I was very overweight (113 kg with 1.75m height, with a waist circumference of something like 110 cm). I was feeling fatigued a lot and went to see my regular physician - who happens to be an endocrinologist.
He diagnosed me with insulin resistance and told me to lose weight and exercise, I found out about you guys, started to eat at a caloric deficit and began the beginner template.
I’m now at 94kg bodyweight with 96 cm waist circumference and still going down… aiming for at least 92 waist circumference. Insulin resistance has gone away.
Onto my question, I’m supposed to go back to my doctor at the end of December, however I did a blood test yesterday which gave me CPK of 462 U/L, just for reference, in August/07 I did the same test and it came back 185 U/L.
I’m kind of freaking out, is this normal or should I be worried and call my doctor ASAP instead of waiting 2 months? I did the mistake of googling this shit and it contributed to my freaking out.
Program has been beginner template with 2-3 days of GPP, caloric deficit and 5g creatine every day.
I took the test at 6 AM and had a “heavy” lifting session 18 hours prior ( comp squat, incline bench press and sumo deadlift), could this alter the test levels?
Sorry for the long text and thank you for everything you do.
