Doing RDLs for the first time and I’m having an extreme amount of low back pain/fatigue. I have to lie down after my sets on the bench just to keep going. Is that normal?
I’d say no, not normal at all.
Did you get a back tweak? Does persist after you’re done with the RDLs?
No, maybe pain isn’t the right world. It’s not an injury or anything like that. More like fatigue.
I get a little bit of a lower back bump between RDL sets and a little bit of soreness but nothing that bad. The DOMs is usually not as bad as for DLs.
There may be many reasons why your back started to hurt. From a simple muscle stretch to a weakened immune system that affects the entire body and your productivity. I think that you should see a doctor to check it out, and you can determine the cause of back pain yourself. Most likely, you just need a little support as vitamins or pills. When I feel depressed, kratom pills help me, designed to relieve you from depression, weak immunity, pain, and many other things. In fact, these pills have helped me a lot, and maybe they will help you.
I would disagree with this advice. Unless you’re experiencing serious symptoms that aren’t mentioned in your post, I don’t see any reason to consult a doctor.
It sounds to me like you may be overshooting RPE. Maybe experiment with lower weight, or reduce the number of reps per set? If these really are your first time doing RDL, your unfamiliarity with the movement may be thwarting your judgment here.
