Recently published study about exercise and weight loss

A study was recently published in Lancet, which seems to indicate that the impact of exercise on weight loss may be heavily individual.

My thoughts on exercise’s utility with respect to weight management are as follows:

  1. There are a great number of weight-independent benefits to exercise
  2. Exercise, particularly RT, improves body composition with or without weight loss
  3. Exercise tends to reduce weight regain risk
  4. Exercise isn’t really great for weight loss in and of itself -Jordan
