I’ve started noticing that my food scale tends to underestimate food by 5-10g depending on the total amount I am weighing.
Is there any particular food scale or brand that you trust more? Or is this type of range acceptable and will work out int he long run as I track and make adjustments to my daily calories?
Trying to answer my own question:
Doesnt really matter. Basically I would adjust my calories down (if I my weight wasn’t going down as planned), but in reality it’s me adjusting for my food scale error. On balance leads me to eating the right amount for a given goal.
When I put small items in it doesnt go up for a bit then jumps 2-3g. When I test with a measuring cup, I get different numbers.
that said it’s probably something that doesnt matter much. Something that will work itself out as long as I am using the same scale, tracking, and making adjustments to the plan based on goals and results.
This winter, I started keeping track of my calories. And you know what ? It’s fucking hard! However, I need to do this. I bought myself a scale from amazon and it works great
