Recommended Fruits/Vegetables

Don’t need anything science based or anything. Just wanted to know what vegetables and fruits y’all eat! I usually stick with bananas, apples, and pineapple for fruit and tomatoes (are they a vegetable?), onions, broccoli, potatoes, carrots and peas, and beans for vegetables. Oh, and corn! A lot of it!

Asparagus, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries are pretty good. Do beans count as a vegetable, I eat 1-2 cans + ~500grams of tofu (soybeans) a day , and if they count I think that would mean that I actually do adhere to the fruit & veg recommendations. I also eat bananas, broccoli, potatoes and peas. I get a tiny bit of tomato via salsa and tomato sauce.

Yesterday was blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, tomato, poblano peppers, bell peppers, onion, and raisins.

Quantity wise probably about 500-600g of that a day is tomato/various peppers/onion.

My most common fruits are 1) Bananas, oranges, apples, and kiwi. When berries are in season I eat those too. I don’t eat tomatoes but I eat products like tomato paste derived from tomatoes.

For vegetables corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and cauliflower are probably my most common ones.

I also eat beans, lentils, nuts, and lots of grains.

Oo! Thank you for the question.
I eat a wholesome salad everyday at lunch (ofcorse including my carbs and protein) which has almost everything from lettuce, cabbage, cilantro, baby tomato, shredded carrot, pepperbell, beetroot…etc
i also eat steamed veggies at breakfast and dinner (beans, beets, broccoli, Zuccini, carrots, potato, cooked spinach)
for fruits are usually snack and it depends on what i have but usually And the stable are blue berries, kiwi, banana and apples. Since the kids love fruits, throughout the week id get like watermellon, pineapple, papaya, grapes, strawberries, jackfruit, dragon fruit… even durian! They can get pricy but they make for a good time and I’m happy when everyone eats healthy.

Personally can’t live without cucumbers, broccoli, and arugula. Each of these vegetables provides unique nutritional benefits that can support overall health and well-being.

Cucumbers are a great source of hydration, as they are made up of over 90% water. They are also rich in antioxidants, which can help protect the body from damage caused by free radicals. Additionally, cucumbers contain vitamin K, which is important for bone health, and vitamin C, which supports immune function.

Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable that is packed with nutrients. It is an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber. Broccoli also contains compounds called glucosinolates, which can have anti-cancer effects. Furthermore, broccoli is low in calories and can be a great addition to a weight-loss diet.

Arugula is a leafy green that is rich in vitamins A and C, as well as folate and calcium. It also contains nitrates, which can help improve blood flow and lower blood pressure. Arugula has a peppery flavor and can be a tasty addition to salads, sandwiches, and other dishes.

It’s incredible I can combine all three veggies in a cowboy caviar salad and support my overall health and well-being.
