Hi there,
I try to get in as much fruit and veg as possible, but recent stories have suggested getting TEN portions a day (ten fruit and ten veg) is key to a longer life (Fruit and veg: For a longer life eat 10-a-day - BBC News)
How much do you recommend? Currently on a normal day I will eat something like:
Breakfast:
5/6 button mushrooms
Snacks:
1 banana
1 apple
2 satsumas/clementines
With lunch (depending on what I’m having that day):
5/6 cherry tomatoes
About a thumb sized chunk of cucumber
Handful of lettuce or spinach
OR
5/6 long broccoli
5/6 asparagus
Dinner:
This varies, but will always include either veg or salad stuff (similar to lunch time recipes).
Would you recommend trying to get in more either fruit or veg? If so, would you suggest just increasing the amount I put in my meals?
Thanks in advance
