Recomp after LP

Hello,

my name is Tobi. I am 21 years old and 186cm/ 6.1 feet tall. My current weight is 90kg / 198lb. Waist measuremnet: 92cm / 36.2"
After completing the LP ,about half a year ago, I accumulated some fluff around my belly an been trying to get rid of some off it while increasing my strength.

Well… My numbers did not went up that much and also my belly did not really get smaller. Due to work I must admit that i did not really hit the gym regularly the last couple of months.

Im sick off not really progressing and currently I want to optimize my nutritional intake. 3 weeks ago I started measuring my Caloriens and Macros and in average i have been eating 2700cal, 164g protein, 340g carbs, 82g fat, while maintaining my current bodyweight but also getting stronger. (120kg Squat to 125kg)(Did not miss a single training session)
I read the article “How to be a beast” and came to the conclusion that a body recomp might be the best option for me.
My calories right now are probably a little higher than the ones suggested in the article which are 2530cal, 230g protein, 250g carbs, 70g fat.

My questons right now are would you reccomend me to drop my calories a bit and follow the macros from the article?

Appreciate your advice.

Best,

Tobi

Hey Tobi,

How long have you been running with those calories and how has your waist changed?

Hello Jordan,

thanks for your reply.

I have been eating those calories (2700cal, 164g protein, 340g carbs, 82g fat) probably some months already, even thou I have not counted calories everyday. Its what I eat normally.

I dont have waist measurements from that lang ago. Started measuring a week ago, but assuming form photos I made in the past and also from my pants getting a little bit less tight… yea my waist went down.

Yea I’d probably reduce your calories down a bit to get your waist under 35".
