Have you guys made any content on food dye, specifically red dye 40? I haven’t been able to find anything on the topic through barbell medicine. Is there any negative health outcomes from consuming food dye? This is a completely new topic of research for me and would love some input.

We have not done any content on food dyes, no. I am not aware of any research linking red dye 40 consumption to any negative clinical outcomes.
I was having a conversation with my parents about ridiculous stuff they did or were told to do as young parents in the early 2000s (I’m 25). I guess they were told that it could interrupt children’s ability to focus? Sounds outrageous.
Without evidence to support that claim, I would dismiss it. I probably wouldn’t say that out loud, but would just ignore instead.
