Red Meat Consumption Because of COVID-19

So because of food shortages in my town due to Covid-19, I don’t have any chicken or fish in my house and, instead, my parents bought a bunch of beef. Since I’m still just a scrawny 16 year old kid, I don’t make the decisions around here. I usually limit the red meat to 1-2 a week, though it seems like I’ll have to be eating that for some time. Would this negatively affect my health or can I just slip through it with my zooming metabolism? Thanks!

This should not be a problem during this period of time; you’ll be fine. Much longer-term dietary patterns (like over the course of years/decades) are what we’re concerned with when we discuss this topic.
