Hi Barbell Medicine, can you please either direct me to information or explain to me the difference between RIR and RPE.
I feel like how you guys and Mike Tuscherer talk about RPE, it pretty much converts to RIR and is pretty much used in the same way but somehow creates another layer of confusion for new users of “reactive programming”.
I have been using RPE for years but I feel like I have used RIR but with another name. I have been watching videos like “What People Still Get Wrong About RPE” with Mike but I feel like it’s still RIR with another name. You maybe only say RPE 8 is equal to 2 reps left for simplicity but for me, it’s been that I use RIR in practice but with the RPE name.
I really hope you can help me with this question.
