Not sure if this falls into the “nutrition” category but here goes. Is there enough evidence available to form an opinion on the safety and effectiveness of SARMS? I see a lot of stuff that looks impressive but the sources may or may not be reliable. After practicing my Google Foo I am left more confused than when I started.
My opinion is that no, it most certainly not worth it to take SARMS.
First, the safety data is not great. One of the SARMS has a study in the 20 week range in humans showing minimal side effects, but that’s not nearly long enough to conclude safety data from. Additionally, none of the SARMS are in Stage 4 trials at this point so we don’t have a big enough sample size to comment on safety.
Second, the efficacy is not terribly well described in the literature with some evidence suggesting zero to modest effects, at best. They pale in comparison to testosterone in both safety and efficacy, for instance.
There is so much BS on the internet, I often don’t know who to trust, but it’s nice to know that I can Google just about any topic related to sports medicine or health and find an artical and/or thread from Austin and/or Jordan
