Smart Home Gym vs Renewing My Gym Membership

I am pulling my grey hair out of my head as I continue to get BLASTED with Facebook Ads on what everyone is calling “smart tech” home gyms. They are basically an all-in-one machine. So I started digging around, AND, where I live, my gym is STILL closed (it is what it is). So I would like people’s advice if they have seen some of these or better yet, used them. For context, I like to strength train. So I would need something similar to a bench press and weights. I have dumbbells at home. I really miss my gym.

Tempo Studio: https://tempo.fit/ - thing looks good, but not sure if it actually does what it says?

Tonal: https://www.tonal.com/ - This looks pretty cool to me but I’m not sure I like resistance vs real weights?

Found some great VS articles on Tempo vs Tonal, like this one: https://www.fithealthymomma.com/tempo-vs-tonal-vs-mirror/ - After reading this, I def don’t want the mirror because it’s more of just cardio (at least what it looks like to me). Of course I read the other review style ones and they all kind of say the same thing.

I’ve also seen this thing called CLMBR that JAY-Z is backing. Looks cool.

All are pretty darn expensive. Should I stay working out at home with one of these things?

OR…

I wait to go back to my GYM where I don’t have to buy any heavy equipment and I’m back into my routine where I know I’m safe.

Has ANYONE used these machines? Are they worth it? Should I stay or should I go?

Thanks to all that read this and help. I’m going to go do a 30 day workout challenge my brother made for me to improve my golf game while my gym is still closed BORING.

Are you opposed to just getting a decent rack, barbell and weights?

I can understand the appeal of smart home gyms and the convenience of being able to workout from the comfort of your own home. However, I personally prefer traditional gyms because I enjoy the social aspect and the variety of equipment and classes that they offer. If you do decide to go the route of a home gym, you might want to consider adding a punching bag to your setup. Punching bags are a great way to get in a full-body workout and improve your coordination, strength, and endurance. And if you’re living in a small space, you might be interested in a punching bag for small spaces. One option to consider is the Title Boxing Leather Speed Bag. It’s small enough to fit in most apartments and is made with durable materials that can withstand heavy use. Ultimately, the decision is up to you and what works best for your situation and preferences. Good luck with your workout journey!

I, for example, haven’t been going to the gym for a long time now because there’s no need to. I set up a whole room in my house. And I didn’t just put an exercise bike in the corner of the room; I prepared it thoroughly. I chose a room on the first floor of my house. I renovated it because it had a big storage room. I cut out some windows and made another front doors ottawa. Because it is much more pleasant to train when there is fresh air and sunlight in the room. Bought a lot of equipment and completely furnished the whole room. Of course the costs are high, but I can train whenever I want. And let me tell you, I train more. And I like it.
